A full-day Zanzibar boat trip on a local Dhow is an amazing boating experience in Zanzibar. It typically starts at 9:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm, departing from the beautiful beaches of Fumba or Kikungwi villages on the southwest coast of Zanzibar.
The trip’s highlights include crystal-clear waters and fantastic snorkeling opportunities. Fumba waters, situated between Zanzibar and the mainland and lying on the Zanzibar Channel, are consistently calm. During the tour, you’ll have the chance to walk on the ‘White Sandbank,’ a stretch of fine white sand surrounded by blue waters and a clear sky. Here, we provide sandbank camping with local tents and serve Zanzibar fresh fruits.
But there’s more! The snorkeling experience in this area, which is part of the Minai conservation and largely unspoiled, is stunningly beautiful. You’ll also get to swim in a natural pool nestled between old coral rocks and mangrove trees. Afterward, we’ll head to Kwale Island to enjoy a seafood buffet. You’ll be seated almost on Kwale Beach, and the buffet includes rock lobsters, prawns, calamari, octopus, two types of fish, rice, coconut sauce, chapati and potatoes, all served with soft drinks. For dessert, we offer a variety of exotic fruits.
Finally, you can relax and soak in the sun on the beach, reflecting on this paradise for a day. To conclude the day, we’ll visit a massive Baobab tree that has been standing for three centuries despite falling due to the wind – it’s still alive. Then, we’ll head back to Fumba or Kikungwi village.
